Acoustic & Vibration Isolation

Our specialists engineers are involved from the preliminary design and planning stage of a project through to installation and handover. As experts in the field, Embelton are called on by consultants in the design process to develop solutions that isolate a component or whole building structure.

Manufacturing

Defined by experience and quality, our skilled team continually strives to exceed client expectations with a comprehensive range of Metal Fabrication and Bending solutions. 3D modelling and design, coupled with versatile skills and equipment, ensure that the most complex designs can be converted into reality.

Installation

The Installation Division works with builders and developers across Australia to install all materials supplied by Embelton’s Flooring, Engineering and Manufacturing Divisions. Floor preparation and installation services are provided across a variety of project types, including; multi-storey residential, office, health care, education, retail and commercial, covering many floor types including, solid and engineered timber, broadloom and carpet tiles, sheet and vinyl planks.

Project Management

With a project manager assigned to each project, Embelton oversees all projects to ensure each project is completed to a high standard.

National Warehousing

With five warehouses around Australia, Embelton holds stock across the country to fulfil local, national and even international customers orders.

James Embelton

Managing Director

Prior to joining the company as Managing Director, Mr. Embelton had 15 years experience in financial services, most recently with Macquarie Group Limited, where he was a Division Director. Earlier, he spent ten years in the North American Financial Services Sector, including time as a Director for Legg Mason in Toronto. Prior to this Mr. Embelton was Associate Vice-President for AIC Mutual Funds. He completed a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in 1992, has completed the Canadian Securities Institute designation and completed the first level of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program in 2004.

Peter Galgano

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Embelton, Mr. Galgano worked with a number of large public companies over the course of 12 years building a wealth of experience in both management and financial accounting at a senior level. Mr. Galgano is a passionate and hands on Certified Practicing Accountant, who continually assists in the growth of Embelton and has headed the finance division for the past 29 years. Mr. Galgano has seen turnover growth of 600 percent in his time with Embelton and has introduced new systems and controls to facilitate this growth.

Greg Simon

General Manager – National Commercial Flooring Sales

Prior to entering the Commercial Flooring industry, Mr. Simon completed a double degree in Bachelor of Law & Bachelor of Economics at Monash University and worked in both financial and legal companies. Greg later joined Simon Carpets where with vision and foresight, he opened Simon Carpets Commercial which eventually morphed into Omnifloor. Greg was the leading principle of these multiple companies for approximately 30 years and recently, with the advent of Omnifloor coming together with Embelton, is now General Manager of the National Commercial Flooring Sales Division.

Richie Hinds

General Manager – Contracting

Mr. Hinds joined the Embelton team in 2020, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.  As General Manager of Omnifloor Australia, he fostered a culture of continuous improvement and innovation that allowed the business to achieve growth objectives by continual re-invention, while ensuring the successful delivery of some of Australia’s largest and most complex flooring packages to Tier 1 construction projects.  Richie is also an active  member of Standards Australia TX-009 and PL-015 committees for resilient and textile floor coverings and holds a Masters of Business Administration.

George Embelton, BE, FIEAust 

Chairman

Mr Embelton was appointed Chairman in 1984.

Ross Baldwin, DipCE, FIEAust,

Appointed Non-Executive Director in 2002.

Mr Baldwin consults to clients involved in all aspects of development, construction, operation and maintenance of major infrastructure projects. He also specialises in advising on projects in the Asian region, having been resident there for eleven years, during which time he occupied key positions including Director and/or Managing Director with companies which undertook significant infrastructure and mining projects.

He is a director, immediate past Chairman and principal of Flagstaff Consulting Group and a director of Flagstaff Engineering Services, also a former Managing Director of John Holland Asia, former Director of the Overseas Projects Corporation of Victoria and the Mayfair Hanoi Joint Venture.

Mr Baldwin is an independent director.

Martin Crabb, BA

Appointed Non-Executive Director in October 2014.

Martin is currently a director of and Head of Research at Shaw and Partners. Martin provides advisers and clients with research insights into global macroeconomics, asset allocation and equity strategy.

Prior to Shaw and Partners, Martin was with Macquarie Group Limited where he was an Executive Director in charge of Dealer Services within the Banking and Financial Services Group. Martin spent over 20 years at Macquarie in various roles across Wealth Management and Institutional Stockbroking.

Mr Crabb is considered an independent director.
